- We recommend that you use at least one large 60g Boveda de for 25 cigars that your humidor can hold, even if it is not full. It is always the air space and wood that require proper humidification.
- Because it will never be too moistened beyond the number indicated on the package, using more than recommended will work more efficiently and will need to be replaced less often.
- Airtight containers like plastic tupperdors and travel humidifiers don’t need as much power to stay moistened because they don’t leak as much air.

This is a common question and the solution always boils down to one (or more) of these three problems:
- You haven’t seasoned your cigar or it needs to be re-seasoned because it’s winter or you live in a very dry climate.
- Your hygrometer must be calibrated.
- You are not using enough or the right size Boveda.
Note: Do not mix the RH levels in the same humidor, and do not use the product in the same humidifier with other humidification products. They will fight against each other and reduce the effectiveness of Boveda.
